J. Alan Homes offers a highly personalized, full-service experience, where every home is

custom-built to reflect the unique vision of each client. With our local expertise and deep

relationships, we focus on quality, using only materials and craftsmanship we would use in our own home.

Our office and design center is located in Prosperity, South Carolina, just a few miles from Lake Murray. Our family has strong roots in this area, and we specialize in building custom homes for both local residents and those relocating to the region.

At J. Alan Homes, we work closely with each client from concept to completion. We provide flexibility in design, offering modifications to plans in-house without the need to send them out to an architect, ensuring a smooth, hands-on experience. We also take pride in our design center experience to inspire and guide you as you make selections for your home. We partner with popular brands to offer on-trend fixtures, materials and colors to ensure your home is a reflection of your unique style.

Absolutely. We work with a lot of clients from out-of-state and we offer weekly updates,including photos, progress reports, and clear communication to ensure you stay connected with your project no matter where you are. Whether you prefer phone calls, emails, or face-to-face meetings, we adapt to your communication preferences to ensure a smooth and enjoyable building experience. We are your local “eyes” on the project at all times.

Both Jeff and Debbie have decades of experience in the homebuilding industry. Jeff grew up in the building industry and has worked in various leadership roles, overseeing the construction of thousands of homes. Debbie has spent her real estate career focusing on improving the client experience for new home buyers and most recently formed her own Brokerage Company, Deb & Company, LLC.

We specialize in custom lakefront homes, modern family homes, and homes designed to create lasting memories for generations. Our focus is on crafting homes that reflect your lifestyle and

aesthetic preferences. We listen, advise and act so your voice is heard.

We pride ourselves on our deep relationships with suppliers and product manufacturers and we use only the highest-quality materials, ensuring that each home we build is durable, sustainable, and beautiful. We do not compromise on quality, and all materials are selected based on longevity and value. We built homes for our clients as if we were building for our own family.

The timeline for building a custom home varies depending on the complexity of the project. On average, most homes take 8 to 12 months from start to finish?. We provide a detailed timeline during the planning phase.
